as the world wobbles

As I’m writing this, I am eating supper. I’m running on about 3-ish hours sleep. A brave band of adventurers are capping their week-long binge watching of Gilmore Girls by… binge watching the final episodes. I’m hoping the ending meets their expectations… when they were last seen 8 hours ago the expectations were only exceeded by the enthusiasm. Tomorrow may otherwise take on the demeanor of the final game between the Giants and the Cubs.

I myself do not know the ending yet, nor do I foresee firing up Netflix for the next six hours to assess the show myself. Throughout the evening I have been texting my not-likely-accurate spoilers to the entripid band of fearless binge-netflix-party people. Below is a small sampling for amusement purposes only; if any of these actually match the show I’m not really sure that the poles will not be flipping tomorrow morning.

– Ms. Patty continues bringing culture to Stars Hollow. She is now married to the 2nd troubadour.
– Logan and his father never agree. He starts an adventurer club and was last heard from kayaking down the amazon. The postcard looked very nice.
– Sookie and Jackson were spies for the state of Nebraska. He ran produce and information back to their home state. Tourism had never taken off in Nebraska and they were stealing ideas from Stars Hollow. Taylor never learns of this…
– The Independence Inn was a front for the NSA. Only Michel knew. He was employed as an analyst.
– In the final scene, the words ‘The End’ appear, the camera slowly pans out, the original troubadour is heard singing the epilogue on the square, the credits slowly begin to roll as the picture fades to black, the music and credits continue.

Well, that’s all I know today. Tomorrow I may know less.

things on the workbench

Many projects on the workbench. C#, JavaScript, AWS, codingame.com. All the parts to blue-tooth enable my IBM model M keyboard; looking forward to this project. A bit of soldering, downloading code to micro arduino. Tho’ it may not seem portable, it will be worth it to have a solid clicky-keyboard to use again. Ultimate in humorous piccie will be typing in an app on my iPhone with my clicky-keyboard.

Summer is officially over. Just this past week the flowers along the front yard decided to quite producing new flowers. Silly plants. The smallest kept producing flowers over a month longer than the larger plants. Really need to finish my yard work soon; should have hung the Christmas lights last week while it was 80 degrees. I’ve placed this back on the list for next year.

Everybody currently asleep, laundry still running. Hopefully the dress shirts will finish drying so I can get them hung up before M wakes up for a snack. (sometime between 1 hour and 4 hours from now (M’s snack, not shirts)).

Currently working on level 5 in codingame. Not doing half-bad so far. The coding patterns from way-back are beginning to see light again. Probably because I’m using the really big flashlight when rummaging through the back corridors of my brain. Hopefully I’ll be thinking in algorithms more efficiently soon. Not likely to set any records, but it seems like a fun place to work on coding skills.

PC with my coding toys on it still having undetermined hardware issues. I’ve ruled out the harddrive, mostly ruled out memory. Going to take everything out and re-seat it. It is six years old, so a good spring housecleaning is probably in order. Hoping issue is not serious, really wanting to try out my SSD drive in it. Maybe this week I’ll get some time to dissect it.

Well, probably all I have today.

Later.
