Well peoples, when you have ‘free time’ one begins to find projects that have been neglected. In this episode, I tackled the TV that has not worked for some time. It had been unplugged for about a year, and when finally plugged back in, it displayed a blink code, but no picture, no backlight, nada.
So, after a long search on the web, I was able to locate how to actually interpret the blink codes. The culprit was either the power-supply or the main logic board. After testing all the voltages on the power-supply, I was able to determine that the main board was to blame.

Overall, a successful surgery. The TV is working ($40 part), the WII is back in action, and nobody got hurt ( The boards on the edges hold the inverters to power the 22 fluorescent bulbs. ) Well, one project crossed off the list, on to the next.
Until next time, stay safe.
